Thinking about taking a trip to Malibu, CA anytime soon? You have to stop and spend the day at the Malibu Wine Safari. It was truly such a fun experience and we definitely learned some tips to help you guys have the best experience there!
You can buy an assortment of tickets here.
TIP #1: I recommend doing the safari that includes meeting Stanley the giraffe. Not only because Stanley is the nicest giraffe on the planet, but also because if we would’ve left without this last stop, it just would’ve seemed way too short of a safari. We loved having one more stop (and one more glass) to end the journey. Plus you get to feed him and he seriously is so cute.
TIP #2: Wear appropriate shoes. We both wore white tennis shoes which wasn’t as horrible as sandals or other options, but you are going to be walking and it could be muddy. I definitely recommend something you’re comfortable in.
TIP #3: Which brings me right to tip #2…even if you look up Malibu weather in your weather app, remember you have to drive up the mountain to get to the safari. It’s going to be cooler there. If you’re visiting in early spring like we did, you’ll definitely want a jacket and jeans. We froze until we had our wine coats on 😉
TIP #4: Uber to the safari. I think this one is kinda obvious, but if you’re wanting to enjoy the tour, you should Uber up the mountain. We paid to park on the Malibu Pier and were able to walk up and down the pier before we called our Uber. Plus we chose this spot in case we needed to have some dinner before driving home! Eat at Malibu Farm!
TIP#5: Make sure to get up the mountain with plenty of time before the safari leaves! We arrived 20 minutes prior and were able to check in and get settled with enough time.
You have to climb up and down this truck, so a dress probably wasn’t our best idea either… We just all around were not dressed for the weather haha.
This would make an amazing stop on a bachelorette, girls trip or family trip that you have planned! I hope you enjoyed today’s post. DM me or comment below any questions that you have about our trip and I would be happy to answer any questions!
