Another Monday, another blog post! Today I wanted to chat all about my hometown, Frisco! I feel like my girlfriends and I are always on the lookout for things to do in our hometown. It’s hard when you live so close to a city that has SO much to offer (I mean…we even say we’re from Dallas when people ask), but the truth of the matter is that there are so many fun things to do in Frisco and I wanted to name a few of my favorites.
Things to do:
Go to an FC Dallas game. As you see in today’s pictures, this is one of Al and my favorite things to do once the weather starts heating up. We both played varsity soccer in high school and we love the game. It’s definitely something we bonded over and continue to bond over. I had to copy him and buy a hat so we could match. 😉 These tickets range from $25-$40. We paid $46 total last weekend and had some pretty great seats! Pro tip: they just changed their rules about purses. It has to be like half a sheet of paper “taco” style or you will have to go put it back in your car…which you don’t want to do if you parked a mile away.
Or go see the Rough Riders if you’re more into baseball. Last summer we went to three RR baseball games. These are so much fun. Just grab your man (or your girls), a beer, a hotdog and you’re in for a home run…see what I did there hehe. These tickets are a little cheaper but the food is more expensive!
Shop at The Shops of Legacy. If you’re in the mood to spend a little cash, this is your place! You can find whatever you’re looking for here. Jewelry stores, home decor stores, food, drinks, boutiques…they have it all! I definitely recommend coming at Christmas because the lights are the best part. But, if you’re into the hot summer afternoon stroll, there are plenty of places for a cold beverage which I will share more in the food section.
Things to eat:
Mesero. My favorite place to get “glam” Mexican food. They have the best salsa trio and very good margaritas. The atmosphere is amazing, too. I definitely recommend coming here at night and sitting on the covered patio.
Ernesto’s. This is my favorite “hole in the wall” Mexican food. It’s not really a hole in the wall, but the restaurant is very quaint and the service is SO quick. They also have a good happy hour.
Pizzeria Testa. I have been dying to try this place. I know that Alex and I will go sometime this month. It has been so highly recommended and the atmosphere is supposedly so good! This is in Downtown Frisco, so you could pop over for dessert at the cupcake shop on the strip, too.
Italian Garden. I had to put this in my post even though this is in Mckinney. I worked here for 5+ years as a waitress, and YALL…I ate here every single night for dinner that I worked and never got tired of it. If you go, you have to get Chicken Murphy, but ask for penne pasta. It matters and you will thank me later. Also, it’s BYOB and they don’t sell wine. There is a CVS right next door if you forget 😉
Fifth Street Patio. Good appetizers, good American food menu and overall a good atmosphere. Usually loud with sports fans, but makes for a fun Saturday night dinner.
Rail Yard Frisco. This is food truck heaven! So many options and all outdoor seating. Think a mini Katy Trail.
Thank you so much for reading today’s post! I am thankful you stopped by. Have you tried something amazing in Frisco? Leave me a comment down below with your suggestions!
