If you asked me to sum up my experience shopping at the Sephora inside JCPenney a few weeks ago, my response would be “life changing for my makeup bag”. Kerri who works a the Stonebriar location seriously helped me find products that were perfect for my skin and things I couldn’t wait to experiment with. Some of the products you see here I have been using for a year and some are brand new to my routine.
I feel so confident when I am having a good mascara day or wearing a new lipstick and I hope you find some inspiration for your own makeup bag in today’s post. There is a giveaway happening for one of you lucky ladies, so be sure to read all the way till the end!!
Starting the face with this Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer! I use my finger tips to rub this all over my face. I make sure to always start with a clean and moisturized face before going in with any products!
I am then going in with foundation and you guys….this one takes the CAKE! This is the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. I am absolutely obsessed with everything from the coverage, to the tone, to the color range. Seriously, Rihanna did the THING! I am wearing shade 105. I used a damp beauty blender to blend this into the skin.
I then went in with this concealer. I have been using this one for about a month now and I actually like it better than Shape Tape (don’t @ me). I think this one is not as full coverage, which I like because I don’t want my makeup to feel caked on. I apply this in my under eye, cupids bow, blemishes and t-zone to brighten up my face. I use the same damp beauty blender to blend this in. Whenever you think you are done blending, blend for another minute for a flawless finish.
Okay- now here is where my girl crush Kerri comes into play. Her face was seriously like a porcelain doll. Completely flawless and even and I HAD to know her secret. She told me she uses this powder and sets her face with a WET beauty blender and NOT a brush. I have never tried this trick before with a real powder and y’all…I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a brush. I’m wearing shade 15.
Dab the beauty blender, dab on your face, repeat until you have achieved flawless skin 😉
And now we bronze, blush and highlight with this palette from Benefit Cosmetics called the Cheekleaders Mini Cheek Palette in Bronze Squad. The greatest deal in this post is by far this palette, and it’s new and only at Sephora. Love all three shades and think they go together beautifully on the skin. I used a brush for the bronzer and blush and my finger tips for the highlight. I only apply blush in the apples of my cheeks by tapping on to skin, not dragging.
This Natasha Denona Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette is LUX. I feel like a real adult having this palette. Something about Natasha Denona really brings your makeup look to the next level. Kerri talked me into this palette because she said “even though there is only 5 colors, you can do SO much with the mattes in the palette and build them up however much you want”. This was the reason I went with this palette over some other top choices in my basket. Plus, did I mention that this one is new and only at Sephora?
This Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara is seriously going to be the next big thing, I am telling you now. I am calling it and we will all remember this moment. Another associate in the store told me if I loved Superhero by IT Cosmetics, this would blow that out of the water. It has CBD oil in it to promote lash growth and little fibers that make your lashes fuller and longer. I am LOVING it so far. And I don’t know if you can tell how big this tube is, but it’s huge.
I finished the look off with this Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte lippie in the color “Interview”. In my opinion, this is the perfect shade for an interview 😉 I set my face with the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Setting Spray and that was a wrap!
