As we ring in the new year, I love to make new goals (and lists- lots of lists). I think that resolutions and goals are really important for any new season and especially at the start of a brand new year! This year I really want to focus on being my most healthy self- spiritually, physically and mentally. You’ll see that my resolutions are things that I can ACTUALLY accomplish and you can join in on some with me. When making your list make sure that you can actually fulfill them and make sure they are attainable and measurable (that way you’ll feel successful when you accomplish them)!
2 0 1 9 R E S O L U T I O N S:
Workout three times a week. This can be a 30 minute walk on the treadmill or a full HIIT workout. Regardless, I want to get active at least 3 times each week (more than that will be a plus, but 3 is attainable for me). Also- I am thinking of starting Class Pass to try out new classes. The first month is free and then I am going to buy the cheapest month to month package ($39 a month I think) and take at least one class per week and then just workout at my gym the rest of the week. This isn’t sponsored, I just wanted to share haha.
Close all Apple watch rings 5/7 days. I am so bad about closing my rings, so I wanted to add this to feel a little extra motivation. Who else hates and loves when their watch asks them to breathe or stand…a true love/hate relationship for me.
Plan out my blog posts a month in advance and write them a week in advance. I really need to do this because I was doing SO good about posting to my blog every week and then life got the best of me. I want to share so many different parts of my life this year on the blog. I have a ton of requests for wedding, teacher, food, workouts, etc. I want to share all of that with you in 2019 (P.S. I am always taking requests on my IG, so DM me if you have a blog post idea)!
Declutter my emails. Unsubscribing to one email chain each day until it is only what I want to see. That is the goal…and it’s a big one for me…
Commit to our life group every week. We have been going to a life group/bible study every week for 3 months and I can’t wait to bring that into 2019. We love the community and conversations and it’s just so good for our relationships in our lives. We absolutely cannot picture our weeks without group anymore!
Volunteer once a month. I seriously never get out and volunteer, which is such a shame to admit. I really want to be more active in the community this year. If you have any favorite organizations to volunteer with, please send me an email or comment below! I really need y’alls help with this one. I love children and would love something to do with kids!
Write out my budget each time I get paid (and try to save more each month). We also are going to start tithing consistently in 2019. I talked all about tithing one day on stories and got a HUGE response from you guys. I can’t wait to see what I learn through tithing and what God has in store for my financial situation in 2019.
The last goal I had for myself and also for Alex is to enjoy engagement. The only reason I didn’t write that one is because it’s not super measurable. I just want us to learn more about each other and our families (I am truly marrying into the BEST family). I want us to enjoy planning and not be stressed about factors that really don’t matter in the long haul. Thank you guys for loving us and supporting us in this new season of life. I am forever grateful!
