Man, oh man do I love a good skirt. I used to play this game with my friends in high school called “love a good” and you name things that people reallllllllly love. Like if someone were to describe me they could say “she loves a good Chick-Fil-A meal” or “she loves a good lipstick” and if they were to describe my best friend Bryn they would say “she loves a good pair of shoes” or “she loves a good margarita” and so on. Well this season I really “love a good” skirt. And this one is the perfect transitional piece in your closet. When you live in Oklahoma or Texas, it is safe to assume that your “winter” season will also come with mildly hot temperatures. I love that this skirt is a faux suede so it is still a winter texture while not making me die of heat when wearing it. This cream off the shoulder top was the best addition to this skirt. It was so comfy and I loved that the sleeves were cropped in length. You can find both of these pieces at Peck’s Lodge in Stillwater or at the links above!
This outfit combo is making me excited for soft spring colors (although let’s get real, the second it turns spring I’m bringing our the brightest colors I have in my wardrobe). I really love adding touches of color to my winter/transitional weather wardrobe because my entire closet seems to be full of black clothes. I just can’t stay away from a good pair of black jeans or a black bomber jacket.
Also…you should consider yourself lucky that I am posting this before I watch the Bachelor tonight or else I am sure I would have a lot more venting to do. All I have to say is that Raven better be staying because she is my absolute fave.
Double also: I wanted to include some pictures of the succulents and plants that we saw at Stillwater Succulents where I took these pictures because they were so pretty! I bought the bowl of succulents that you see in the first picture below and they are the perfect addition to our coffee table in our living room!
I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead! Be kinder than necessary to those around you!
