**I am going to be breaking this post down by outfit! I really hope you enjoy this type of post! It was really so easy for me to put these looks together and I hope you enjoy the variety of trends. I think one of the coolest things about my personal style and this generations style is how we love to try new things. This was a new type of blog post for me, but creating new looks out of old pieces is something I do every week with my closet.
Semi-Formal
This LBD was a gift from my momma for my birthday a few months ago! Because she bought this dress in early October, I cannot find the exact one, so I have linked two different under $20 dresses here and here. I have also linked some fun/affordable heels here and here. For this first look, I paired the dress with some fun tassel heels and gold hoop earrings. I wore this to my fall formal for my sorority a few weeks ago. I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to be able to go, but I found out last minute I was going to be attending and threw this little outfit together!
Street Style
I’m calling this one “street-style” because of the edgy boots and the bomber jacket. I LOVE bomber jackets in every fall color. They are so easy to pair with any top and take any top to the next level. I also paired this look with this purse, these sunglasses, and this choker (similar). I love this bomber jacket. What’s coolest about this street style look is the variety of places I would wear this to. I love the black on black with the pop of camel in the jacket. When I am wearing black, I love to mix in metal colors. The choker I am wearing is silver and black while the sunglasses I am wearing are gold and black! The zippers and details on my shoes and purse are also silver and gold.
The Hangout
This look was by far the easiest to put together. I have had these black converse for about a year now and they go with so many outfits in college. A pair of converse are a NECESSITY at a university because they are perfect for class, an athleisure look, and for themed parties. You can purchase them here. This flannel that I also paired with this look is from a thrift store. I got it for $4 and I throw it on top of a variety of things. You can obviously opt out of the thrift store buy and find these at Old Navy, Target, or even Nordstrom.
Date Night
Heeeeeeeey date night! Calling all ladies with nothing to wear on their hot dates! Haha I’m laughing because I just said “hot dates”. But forreal, you can find the cutest little outfits in your closet if you just know how to throw some old things together! I bought this sweater at Old Navy the other day when I shouldn’t have been shopping but did anyway (please tell me you can relate). These boots are available in black and a few other colors. I bought the ones I’m wearing last winter and have lived in them on every chilly day since. Threw on some gold hoops and called it an outfit!
I know this was quite a long post but I wanted to explain between each outfit what I was going for! I know that I am not the only one who puts together new outfits from clothes sitting in the back of a closet haha! I hope you found some inspiration in this post, and I hope you find something totally YOU to throw together for yourself!
Happy Christmas break to all of my college gals!
